The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are on maximum alert this Tuesday following warnings from the United States about an imminent ballistic missile attack by Iran.
Official sources have indicated that the attack could occur at any moment, prompting Washington to bolster its defensive support for its Middle Eastern ally.
IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed that the U.S. has provided key information about Iran’s preparations, emphasizing that the aggression could be both massive and devastating.
“Not long ago, our American allies informed us that they have detected preparations by Iran for an imminent missile launch against the State of Israel,” Hagari said.
“We’ve dealt with this threat before, and we will face it now as well.”
While the exact scope of the attack remains unclear, tensions between the two countries have escalated rapidly.
Relations between Iran and Israel have been tense in recent weeks, especially after Israel intensified its offensive in Lebanon against Hezbollah, a militia backed by Iran.
The recent Israeli incursion into southern Lebanon sought to weaken the group’s military infrastructure, further increasing friction with Tehran.
Amid this critical situation, the U.S. Embassy in Israel has issued a “high-level alert” to its staff, urging them to return to the U.S. and prepare to take shelter in the event of a missile attack.
For its part, the U.S. Central Command has deployed three additional air squadrons to the region to reinforce defenses.
The international community is closely following the developments of this crisis, while Israeli and American citizens in the region brace for the worst.
