U.S. military forces have initiated the boarding of the tanker Marinera, previously known as Bella 1, flying the Russian flag, in the North Atlantic.
According to confirmed sources, the action is unfolding at this moment, following a two-week pursuit that began in the Caribbean, where the vessel evaded an initial U.S. Coast Guard blockade attempt.
The Marinera, accused of transporting Iranian oil in violation of U.S. sanctions, changed its name and flag to Russian to avoid capture.

This maneuver is part of the so-called Russian «shadow fleet,» designed to circumvent restrictions imposed by the West following the invasion of Ukraine, highlighting how these leftist and anti-Western regimes undermine global energy security.
Russia deployed a submarine and naval vessels to escort the tanker, raising tensions to critical levels. However, U.S. special operations aircraft, including an AC-130J and a P-8 Poseidon, supported the mission, landing at Scottish bases to coordinate the aerial assault.
These images underscore Washington’s determination to enforce sanctions, contrasting with the inaction of progressive governments that criticize such measures.
Apparently, there were no immediate Russian vessels during the initial boarding, avoiding a direct clash, but the Russian submarine presence persists as a latent threat.
By enforcing the federal court order for violations of restrictions imposed on illicit trade in Venezuelan and Iranian oil, Washington is clear in its intentions: no trick, such as changing names, painting false flags, or taking refuge under Russian protection, will stop the United States’ determination to defend its interests and those of its allies against networks financing tyrannies that threaten global stability.
