The «border czar,» Tom Homan, made it clear in a recent interview that immigration enforcement operations are not being rolled back, but rather refocused. He explained that actions at farms and hotels are still underway, but now with a prioritization based on criminal investigations.
“This isn’t a reversal. We’re still operating, but with a focus on serious cases,” Homan stated. He noted that many of these operations target serious crimes such as forced labor, human trafficking, tax fraud, and money laundering.
Homan emphasized that the criteria are clear: “Criminals first, national security threats first.” Operations at hotels and worksites have not been canceled but are carried out when there’s a strong criminal background.
