Trump Explains India and Hungary’s Position Amid Restrictions on Russian Oil
President Donald Trump stated that India will no longer buy Russian oil, while also highlighting Hungary’s complicated energy situation — a country that depends on a single pipeline and has no access to the sea.
“They can no longer buy Russian oil, and Hungary is somewhat stuck because it has one single pipeline that’s been there for years and years,” Trump explained, emphasizing the logistical challenges faced by the European nation.
The president added that he spoke with the Hungarian prime minister, whom he described as “a great leader,” and said he understands the situation. “Hungary is in a very interesting position because they have no ports — they’re surrounded by land,” he said.
