JD Vance praises Viktor Orbán and strengthens alliance based on “Western values” (VIDEO)

The Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, highlighted the relationship between Washington and Budapest following a meeting with Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, emphasizing what he described as an alliance grounded in the defense of Western civilization and its core values.

During his remarks, Vance stated that both Hungary and the United States, under the leadership of Orbán and President Donald Trump, share a common vision centered on principles such as education without indoctrination, strengthening families, and protecting individual freedoms.

The vice president stressed that this cooperation is also based on defending economic conditions that allow citizens to live with stability, including affordable access to energy and transportation, as well as promoting a social model that prioritizes the well-being of families in both Europe and the United States.

Vance also referenced the role of Christian values in shaping Western institutions, noting that they have historically influenced principles such as freedom of speech, the rule of law, and the protection of minority rights and vulnerable populations.

In that context, the U.S. official praised Orbán, describing him as a rare figure on the international stage due to his willingness to openly defend these values. According to Vance, few leaders today take such a stance amid ongoing cultural and political shifts worldwide.

The meeting between the two leaders reinforces a relationship that has been consolidating around a shared agenda on cultural, political, and economic issues, at a time when international alliances increasingly reflect not only strategic interests but also ideological alignment.
