Political violence comes from the Democratic Party

Vice President JD Vance strongly lashed out at the media and Democratic leaders, whom he accused of being directly responsible for the climate of political violence sweeping the United States. In a fiery speech, Vance singled out NBC News as one of the main exponents of “fake news” and recalled an example in which the outlet claimed that immigration agents had detained a five-year-old autistic girl in order to get to her father—a story that turned out to be completely fabricated.

For Vance, such lies are not mere journalistic mistakes but dangerous weapons that put law enforcement at risk. “When you lie about our law enforcement and say they are mistreating five-year-old girls, what do you think is going to happen?” he asked.

The vice president also criticized Democratic politicians for encouraging the doxing of ICE agents, exposing their identities, and inciting violent protesters to confront police. He even accused the mayor of Los Angeles of promoting such harassment. “What is going to happen is political violence, and political violence has gotten out of control in this country,” he warned.

Vance was explicit in holding Democratic leadership accountable for this situation: “We have to stop it, we have to condemn it, and that begins, unfortunately, at the very top of the Democratic Party.”

Finally, he delivered a direct message to those who incite hatred: “If you want to stop political violence, stop attacking our law enforcement by calling them the Gestapo. Stop telling your supporters that everyone who disagrees with you is a Nazi. If you want to stop political violence, look in the mirror.”

His remarks reflect the hardline stance of the Trump-Vance administration in defending the police and rejecting what they consider a toxic narrative from the left—one that fuels radicalism and confrontation in the streets.
