Soros stated that through the funding of civil society organizations, educational programs, and scholarships, his network helped mold a new generation of Ukrainian leaders who later assumed key positions of power.
According to his own words, much of the new leadership that emerged after the political shift had been directly or indirectly linked to the Open Society Foundations, reinforcing the argument that these structures not only promoted “democratic values,” but also played a decisive role in reshaping political power in Ukraine.
