Political strategist Steve Bannon interviewed Jim Hoft, founder of The Gateway Pundit, following a key Supreme Court decision that marks a turning point in the defense of free speech in the United States.
Hoft described the ruling as a “major victory for the American people” after the resolution of the Missouri v. Biden case. The proceedings revealed how, during the administration of Democrat Joe Biden, federal agencies allegedly pressured digital platforms to censor content under labels such as “misinformation.”
The Court was unequivocal: the government cannot intervene, directly or indirectly, to suppress content protected by the First Amendment, even in the digital sphere. The ruling makes clear that modern technology does not alter constitutional obligations, reinforcing that social media is not a space where the state can operate outside the law.
Furthermore, officials are now prohibited from using pressure or threats against tech companies to remove or limit the reach of content. During the case, it was also revealed that multiple government agencies had internal teams identifying and flagging content for removal, underscoring the seriousness of what occurred during that period.
