Tom Homan stated that, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, the United States has the most secure border in its history, which—according to him—has drastically reduced serious crimes such as sexual assaults, migrant deaths during border crossings, and the flow of fentanyl into the country. He also argued that a more secure border prevents the entry of suspected terrorists and individuals whose identities cannot be verified.
Homan emphasized that a drop of up to 96% in illegal crossings translates into fewer victims of cartels, fewer deaths along migration routes, fewer fentanyl overdose deaths, and fewer women and children subjected to sex trafficking. He said these outcomes strengthen national security and that the data supporting them are verifiable.
