Trump announces major discounts on fertility medications in the United States

The president reported that, after extensive negotiations, EMD Serono, the world’s largest manufacturer of fertility medications, has agreed to offer massive discounts on all fertility drugs sold in the United States. This includes Gonal-f, the most popular drug used in in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments.
With a lighthearted tone, Trump even joked about the pronunciation of the drug’s name: “Is that the correct pronunciation? Close enough. Gonal-f.”
The announcement was seen as a significant step to support families and reduce the cost of fertility treatments — a move that reinforces the Trump administration’s family and pro-natal policies.
