Trump Boasts Historic Recovery of the Auto Industry and Sends a Direct Message to American Workers

In a forceful statement from the White House, President Donald Trump highlighted the “unprecedented” rebound of the U.S. auto industry, contrasting it with the decline seen under Joe Biden’s administration. According to Trump, while auto production fell 5% under Biden, it has increased 10% so far this year under his leadership, driven by policies focused on industrial revitalization, deregulation, and the protection of American workers.

Trump also recalled that he won the vote of auto workers in the last election, emphasizing that even union leaders —traditionally aligned with Democrats— have acknowledged his performance. “Even the head of the auto workers said: ‘Trump is the best president we’ve ever seen.’ And it turns out he’s right,” Trump stated confidently, making clear who is positioning himself as the true defender of the working class.

The president stressed that his administration is making it possible for every American family to afford high-quality vehicles at accessible prices while restoring factories that had been closed for decades. He reminded the public that the United States had lost “52% of its auto manufacturing” over the years —a decline tied to outsourcing, poorly negotiated trade deals, and the complacency of previous administrations.

Industrial Revival: Reopened Plants and Massive New Investments

Trump noted that the manufacturing renaissance is not just a slogan: factories that were once abandoned “are now being demolished to build new ones,” a symbol —he said— of the return of industrial prosperity. Michigan, historically devastated by plant closures, is one of the major beneficiaries, but not the only one. States like South Carolina and others that once had little role in the auto industry are now opening entirely new plants.

This resurgence is not limited to traditional automotive production. Trump highlighted the arrival of facilities tied to artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, consolidating an economic recovery strategy that prioritizes real jobs, domestic manufacturing, and the reduction of foreign dependence.

A Political Message With a Clear Target

The speech, beyond the economic data, also delivered a direct blow to the Democratic narrative that tries to claim the mantle of defending the working class. Without naming names, Trump made it clear that Biden’s policies harmed workers, increased the cost of living, and accelerated the deindustrialization that devastated communities across the country.

Now, with factories reopening, skilled jobs returning, and technology expanding, Trump reinforces his image as the president who —once again— delivers what the left promised for decades but never achieved.
