President Donald Trump said he recently held a conversation with Nicolás Maduro, although he acknowledged that it has not yet produced concrete results. In his remarks, he accused the Venezuelan regime of sending billions of dollars’ worth of drugs into the United States and of allowing hundreds of thousands of people from prisons, jails, and mental institutions to enter U.S. territory.
Trump also pointed to criminal organizations such as Tren de Aragua, which he described as extremely violent, and stated that individuals linked to these gangs have been responsible for brutal acts inside the United States. He further emphasized that his administration has intercepted 97 percent of drugs entering the country by sea, stressing that each vessel seized represents the saving of thousands of American lives.
