US Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro goes on a rampage against the DC Council for tying her hands

US Attorney Jeanine Pirro unleashes fury on DC Council for shielding juvenile criminals

In a scathing televised statement, US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, blasted the DC Council and its permissive policies, which she claims are fueling an unprecedented wave of juvenile crime. Speaking firmly and without filters, Pirro decried that her hands are tied by legislators who prioritize shielding underage offenders over public safety.

Pirro did not hold back: she demanded that the age of criminal responsibility be lowered to 14, arguing that these young criminals act with full awareness and exploit the lenient system to commit crimes with impunity. She expressed outrage over the recent case of a young university intern who was brutally attacked by a gang of armed teenagers outside a McDonald’s at 10:30 p.m. The victim, she said, survived only thanks to a passing police officer who interrupted what seemed to be a street execution.

«This must stop», Pirro declared. «I’m tired of watching these kids run in packs committing crimes in broad daylight, knowing the system will forgive them». She slammed judges like the one who gave probation to a teenager who shot someone on a bus with an illegal weapon. «They told him: go to college. Really? He used an illegal gun! That alone should put him in jail, even before considering the shooting», she exclaimed.

According to the prosecutor, the situation is worsened by the criminal infrastructure now in place: adults are recruiting minors to carry out crimes knowing they’ll face only a slap on the wrist. «Older criminals send younger ones to do the dirty work because they know exactly what little they’ll face», she warned.

Far from being an isolated issue, Pirro emphasized that youth violence is rising nationwide. «If you think these kids need to be coddled and hugged, you’re completely delusional. They need consequences. They need to know that if they commit crimes, they’re going to jail or to some rehab center. Period», she said bluntly.

Pirro went even further, directly accusing a DC Council member of obstructing justice and protecting juvenile offenders instead of defending the community. «We won’t allow the DC Council to keep hiding these criminals. It’s time to say enough. That’s what the President wants, and that’s what we’re going to do», she asserted with determination.

Pirro’s view is not alone. Across the country, the call is growing to restore order and take the streets back from emboldened criminals. Rather than justify their actions with progressive rhetoric, authorities must stand with the victims — not the perpetrators. The law must be enforced equally, regardless of age, because public safety cannot continue to be sacrificed on the altar of ideology.

The left has utterly failed on justice reform. Its attempts to rehabilitate the juvenile system have only empowered gangs and weakened the rule of law. Now is the time for firm, consistent justice without apologies.

These types of scenes remind us of an uncomfortable but necessary truth: while many workers in the Western world fight against the “oppression” of coffee machines, AC, and flexible hours, others literally risk their lives just to survive. This woman doesn’t sweep just for cleanliness; she sweeps for dignity, for responsibility, and for the need to feed her family.
