US Marshals and Florida officials announce 60 missing missing kids were rescued

US Marshals and Florida Officials Rescue 60 Missing Children in Historic Operation

In a groundbreaking operation that has sent shockwaves across the nation, the United States Marshals Service, in collaboration with Florida state authorities, rescued 60 missing children in just two weeks. The mission, dubbed “Dragonfly,” is now being hailed as the largest in the agency’s history and may become a turning point in the war against human trafficking and organized crime.

US Marshal Bill Berger, who serves Florida’s Middle District, expressed being overwhelmed by the outcome. “I’m overwhelmed,” he said, stating that no operation in their history has ever yielded results of such magnitude in such a short time. The rescued minors ranged from ages 9 to 17, many of them previously victimized by trafficking, abuse, and forced disappearance.

This was no solo effort. It involved 20 agencies from federal, state, and local levels, and over 100 dedicated personnel including child recovery experts, criminal analysts, and public safety officers. Florida’s Attorney General confirmed that all recovery protocols were strictly followed and that psychological support was provided to the victims immediately.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and former Mayor Bob Buckhorn both visited the command post to show their support and personally speak with the rescue teams. Their public endorsement helped raise awareness of the mission’s significance.

The operation wasn’t just about rescues. It also led to the arrest of eight individuals connected to the trafficking networks. According to Berger, these are “parasites” who would reconnect with the victims if not arrested. They face charges including human trafficking, child endangerment, drug possession, and distribution. Bail amounts ranged from no bail to a staggering $250 million, underscoring the severity of their crimes.

None of this would have been possible without the leadership of Deputy US Marshal Mario Price, who was credited by everyone involved as the mastermind behind the operation’s logistics. His tactical planning and unwavering dedication made the difference at every critical moment.

In a country where border security, child protection, and criminal justice are central political issues, this operation reaffirms what many conservatives have warned for years: child trafficking is a real and urgent crisis that demands action, not bureaucracy. While some downplay or politicize the issue, there are patriots risking their lives to bring justice to devastated families.
