Washington Prepares for Massive Fair Celebrating 250 Years of the U.S. (VIDEO)

A large-scale national celebration is set to transform the heart of Washington D.C. with the arrival of the so-called “Great American State Fair,” an unprecedented event that will take over the iconic National Mall as part of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

For 16 days, the space between the United States Capitol and the Washington Monument will be transformed into a massive fair bringing together all 50 states and U.S. territories, with pavilions showcasing their culture, history, and innovation.

The event will feature large-scale attractions such as a Ferris wheel over 30 meters tall, along with themed experiences like “Made in the USA,” “USA Innovates,” and “Heart of America,” designed to highlight the country’s industrial, technological, and cultural development.

Special activities have also been announced, including Military Appreciation Day and exhibitions such as “Wings of Freedom,” along with the return of the historic carousel from the Smithsonian Institution, adding a nostalgic element to the experience.

The event, which will be free to attend, has been described as a kind of “modern world’s fair,” something not seen at this scale in decades in the U.S. capital.

The fair is expected to attract millions of visitors, positioning itself as one of the largest and most ambitious events held in Washington D.C. in recent years, during a key moment of historical commemoration for the country.
