xAI, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, has announced a strategic alliance with HUMAIN, the Saudi firm backed by the Public Investment Fund, to build a 500-megawatt megadata center in Saudi Arabia.
This project will become one of the world’s largest AI computing centers and the first xAI facility located outside the United States. In addition, xAI’s AI models, such as Grok, will be deployed across the Saudi national network, also integrating into HUMAIN’s agent platform known as HUMAIN ONE.
The infrastructure will be powered by hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GPU units, starting with 18,000 GB300 Grace Blackwell chips and InfiniBand networks as part of the first deployment phase.
From a strategic perspective, the collaboration underscores Saudi Arabia’s ambition to position itself as a global AI hub, leveraging its low-cost energy and resources to build massive sovereign computing capacity.
