Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi Declares New Phase of National Uprising in Iran: «We Are on the Threshold of Reclaiming Our Beloved Iran» Amid Massive Protests Shaking the Islamic Regime
The exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi announced a new phase of the national uprising to overthrow the Islamic Republic, following nearly two weeks of protests that have rocked the country due to the economic crisis and rejection of the theocratic regime.
The demonstrations, which began in late December 2025 due to uncontrolled inflation and the rial’s collapse, have spread to more than 100 cities, evolving into calls for the end of clerical rule.
International sources report thousands in the streets of Tehran and other cities, chanting slogans such as «Death to the dictator» and «Long live the shah!», reflecting growing monarchist support.
In his post on X, Pahlavi stated: «Over the past two weeks—especially in the last four days—you have shaken the foundations of the illegitimate Islamic Republic […] through massive, nationwide demonstrations.»
Dear oppressed Iran, my brave compatriots,
In the past two weeks, especially in the last four days, you have shaken the foundations of the illegitimate regime of the Islamic Republic with your million-strong demonstrations. Now, relying on your million-strong response to the calls of the past days, and with the legitimacy and popularity I have received from you, I announce another stage of the national uprising to overthrow the Islamic Republic and reclaim our dear Iran.
1. Inside Iran, in addition to seizing and holding the central streets of cities, all institutions and apparatuses responsible for the regime’s false propaganda and cutting off communications are considered legitimate targets. Government employees, and the armed and security forces, have the opportunity to join the people and be helpers of the nation, or to choose complicity with the murderers of the nation and buy eternal shame and the curse of the nation for themselves.
2. Outside Iran, all embassies and consulates of Iran belong to the Iranian nation, and the time has come for them to be adorned with the national flag of Iran instead of the shameful flag of the Islamic Republic. We are on the verge of reclaiming our dear Iran from the Islamic Republic.
Khamenei and his regime have suffered several heavy blows from you, and we must not give them a chance to catch their breath again. The regime is facing a serious shortage of repressive forces, and the increased shooting at the people is not out of strength, but due to a lack of mercenaries and fear of faster collapse and fall. We will not allow these criminals to shed more of our youth’s blood on the ground.
We will not give them that opportunity. We will not go back. The freedom of Iran is near. The blood spilled on the ground of Iran’s immortal children guides us toward victory.
We are not alone. Global assistance will arrive soon as well. Wait for my next messages. We will soon reclaim our dear Iran from the Islamic Republic and hold celebrations of freedom and victory everywhere in Iran.
Based on this massive popular response, he declares the phase of seizing and holding central city streets, regarding institutions responsible for regime propaganda and communications disruptions as legitimate targets, and urges public employees, armed forces, and security personnel to join the people or face «lasting shame and condemnation.»
Outside Iran, he called for adorning all embassies and consulates with the pre-1979 national flag (lion and sun) instead of the regime’s banner. He insisted the government faces a «severe shortage of repressive forces» and that increased shootings stem from fear of collapse, not strength: «We stand on the threshold of reclaiming our beloved Iran […] We will not give them that chance.»
Repression remains brutal, with at least dozens killed by live fire, hundreds injured, and a nationwide internet blackout since January 8-9, 2026, to hide the scale. Protests persist despite the cutoff, with fireworks and pot-banging in Tehran squares.
The regime accuses the U.S. and Israel of conspiracy, while Donald Trump expressed support: «If Iran shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters, as is their custom, the United States will come to their rescue. We are ready and prepared,» as posted on Truth Social and echoed by the U.S. State Department’s Persian account.
The decisive support from the United States under President Trump’s leadership has injected new vigor into the Iranian protests, contrasting sharply with the inaction of previous left-leaning administrations that ignored the Iranian people’s suffering.
Trump publicly warned the Islamic regime that if they shoot and kill peaceful protesters, «the United States will come to their rescue. We are ready and prepared,» as published on Truth Social and replicated by the Persian-language State Department account.
Days later, the department emphasized in another message: «President Trump is a man of action. If you didn’t know, now you know.»
Iran’s freedom seems closer than ever thanks to this intervention.
