The first measure announced by the recently elected president of Chile, José Antonio Kast, is the deportation of illegal immigrants. However, he does not propose it in a violent or hostile manner, but rather through a humanitarian corridor. He is already in dialogue with heads of state and governments of multiple countries, both in South America and Central America.
Chile’s population is around 17 million people, of which 2 million are immigrants, and among them 300,000 are illegal immigrants. For this reason, José Antonio Kast says that if they want to stay, it must be done legally; otherwise, they must leave.
He was elected to put an end to open borders and to restore order in the country. However, the mainstream media demonize him. How do you see it?
