Davos, Switzerland. — President Donald Trump told global leaders at the World Economic Forum that the United States is experiencing “the fastest and most dramatic economic turnaround in its history,” marking one year since his return to the White House.
During his speech, Trump stated that the U.S. economy “is booming,” with rapid growth, rising productivity, and increasing incomes. He said inflation “has been defeated” and highlighted growing investment as a result of his economic policies.
On border security, the president claimed that the southern border, once “open and dangerous,” is now closed and “virtually impenetrable,” attributing the change to measures implemented by his administration.
Trump contrasted the current situation with the previous government, which he blamed for plunging the country into stagflation — low growth and high inflation — calling it “a recipe for misery and decline.”
Finally, the president declared that after just one year of his leadership, the United States is witnessing “exactly the opposite”: minimal inflation and extraordinarily high economic growth, projecting confidence before world leaders and business executives gathered in Davos.
