In Washington D.C., tens of thousands of pro-life advocates gathered for the 53rd annual edition of the March for Life, an emblematic event that brings together students, families, patriots, and believers from across the country to affirm the infinite value and God-given dignity of every human life.
This year, President Donald J. Trump sent a video message that resonated among the attendees, highlighting the unprecedented advances in protecting innocent life and strengthening the family during his administration.

Trump began his address by greeting the participants and recalling that, six years ago in 2020, he became the first sitting president to attend the march in person, a milestone that underscored his unwavering commitment to the pro-life cause.
In his message, he emphasized the achievements of his first term, such as appointing judges and justices who interpret the Constitution as written, which led to the greatest victory for the pro-life movement: the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022 by the Supreme Court, correcting decades of leftist judicial overreach that silenced the American people and stripped states of their right to protect the unborn.
The president connected the event to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, reminding attendees that the Founding Fathers recognized the right to life as inalienable. «Now the work to rebuild a culture that supports life continues in every state, every community, in every part of our beautiful land,» Trump stated, describing this struggle as a battle that must be fought and won not only in the corridors of power but above all in the hearts and souls of the people.
He underscored his administration’s actions to defend religious liberty, «bringing back faith in America» and «bringing back God,» in clear rejection of the left’s secularizing policies.
Additionally, Trump celebrated concrete measures such as ending forced taxpayer funding of abortions at home and abroad, promoting faith-based adoptions and foster care, and investing $1,000 in accounts that grow over time for every newborn baby, reaffirming that «every child is a gift from God.»
Vice President JD Vance, who spoke at the rally prior to the march, praised Trump for these achievements and for appointing the judges who made the Supreme Court’s decision possible, calling it the most important in his life.
This year’s march theme, «Life Is a Gift,» invited participants to rediscover the beauty and joy of human existence, drawing attendees of all ages, including families such as that of Bretton White from Virginia and groups of college students.
Although the event celebrated progress, pro-life leaders expressed concerns about the need for additional restrictions on abortion pills, whose accessibility has increased under previous administrations and now accounts for more than 60% of annual abortions.
We previously reported on this in Gateway Hispanic with coverage of the 2025 event, where Trump promised to protect pro-life Americans:
In a context where the Hispanic community in the United States represents a growing force deeply rooted in family and faith values, the pro-life vision resonates with particular strength among Hispanics, who traditionally view life as a sacred gift from conception.
The 2026 March for Life and President Trump’s firm support through his video message—where he reaffirms that every child is a gift from God and promises to continue protecting innocent life, religious freedom, and support for families—reinforces this cultural perspective.
For Hispanics, defending the unborn is not merely a political issue but a moral and spiritual mandate that aligns with the teachings of the predominantly Catholic faith in the community, emphasizing the protection of the family as the pillar of society.
In this sense, the Trump administration has promoted policies that cut public funding for abortion and encourage alternatives such as faith-based adoption, measures that directly protect vulnerable mothers and families, many of them Hispanic.
Thus, the fight for life becomes an opportunity for the Hispanic community to lead with its living testimony, building a culture that values every human existence and rejects leftist agendas that prioritize individualism over the inherent dignity of every human being from the mother’s womb.
