His name is Karmelo Anthony. He was 17 years old when he stabbed an 18-year-old boy who had a very promising future in sports.
The victim was Austin Metcalf, a white young man murdered by a black teen during a dispute. Karmelo pulled out a knife — why he had a knife on a sports field is still a mystery.
Originally, being a minor, he was to be released on a bail of $1,000,000, but the progressive judge lowered it to $250,000.
Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign, he now lives in a gated community in a house worth $900,000 and takes selfies in a luxury car.
